Christmas

This year for Christmas both of my boys were old enough to enjoy it.

We got down their stockings and they just went in and dug out everything that was in it.

Then it was time to open Christmas presents.

Zack and Max both just went for it and had a ton of fun opening them and they even wanted to help Ben and I open ours as well.

After a bit of opening we skyped with Ben's parents so they can see our boys open their present from them. Oh how technology have change so much.

That  afternoon we went over to my parents house for the gathering.

 Look how funny Max was.
A few days later Santa came by and dropped off they boys BIG and main present from him.
A swing set!!!!!
Ben and my Grandpa put it up.
Now the boys have a swing set to play on.

Wow unbealieveble

On Dec.14th, 2012 their was a school shooting in Newtown, Conceit.
A guy  went to a elementary school came and just shot people. 28 got killed and 20 of those were little children. It is so sad that it happened especially right before Christmas. But it is amazing that the children were under the age of 8.  I can't believe that someone would do such a thing and target little kids. This kind of thing just makes you wake up and realize how life can be so short. Even makes you want to hold your little ones really tight and never let them go.  If you have big kids you don't want to let them go either. Even your spouse and parents you want them to know how much you love them.

I have forgotten the name of the person that did this and I am going to choose that. I don't need to remember every evil person in this world. But when someone says the name it might trigger my memory.

Some people might say this is the reason that we need gun control. But not me... it gives me even more reason why we don't need it. Cause the good people would give up their guns and the bad won't. So the good would be armless and the bad will have power over practically everyone.  I just hope we are not going to repeat history with the unarmed. Like it has happen in other parts of the world.

May all the victims rest in peace and to the families you guys are in my prayers.

Max's 1st hair cut.

While we were out in Utah for Thanksgiving Max got his 1st hair cut.

Of course he was crying at the beginning, it was a new and scarey adventure!

But, with Daddy by his side, he calmed right down.  Everyone feels safer when their Daddy is by their side!
and fortunately for Aunt Angela, he didn't cry the rest of the time.
Look how handsome he is with his big boy hair cut.
Thanks again Aunt Angela for giving Max his first haircut!  You sure did a great job.

Halloween!!!!!

This Year we were Packman Family!!!!!!!!

We did our traditional dinner --pizza, cheese sticks and  root beer!

Ben took our boys out for trick-or-treating and I stayed home and passed out the candy.
They came home sooner then I expected because Zack wanted to come home -- however,  Max was ready to go out again.  Looks like I have a Halloween enthusiast in the making.

Zack found some yarn and he took it and strung all over the house (several times up and down the stairs) he called it his tent.

In the meantime Zack was practicing his impersonation of  Wilson (from "Home Improvement").

Zack's first day of pre school at St. Stevens weekly school.

On the 6th was Zack's first day of pre school.
 He had his backpack,Eddie,
Blanket and of course his lunch.
He was so excided to go.
It was kind of hard to let him go but I know it is good for him.
Plus Max and I get to have one-on-one time once a week for a few hours.

Zack was being so silly and excited on his first day of school these were the best pics!  What a silly little monkey I have.  I love my big boy!

Salt Lake Cematary

We go out to UT every summer for 2 1/2 weeks. This time around I wanted to do some touristy things. I had been out to UT several times before Ben and I got married. So I have done a lot of the UT stuff. Well I had never been to The Salt Lake Cemetery where most of the Prophets and apostles are buried.
We went on a Sunday after church.

Now I had never been there, and I thought that all of the prophets (and their wives) that were buried there would all be in a section together. Why wouldn't they? In a lot of cemeteries military men and women are buried in a section together. Well, I was wrong. They were spread out.

Howard W. Hunter.

Spencr W. Kimball

Harold B. Lee

Gordon B. Hinckley

David O. McKay

This was an early apostle

John Taylor

Heber J. Grant

George Albert Smith

Except Joseph F. Smith(top)
and
Joseph Fielding Smith(bottom)
Who were just a few apart.

Wilford Woodruff
These are just the few graves that we saw.
It was so amazing to see this--  to see the past prophets that I never got to see or hear in my life. You know how things are real. But, when you do something like this it makes it even more real.
