Happy 6th Birthday Zack.

This year Zack wanted a friend Birthday party and since we were able to make it to 2 parties of his class mates and they were simple and the parents did not go all out. as well as not everyone in his class went we were like OK and we kept it simple we brought our TV down stairs and we did our usual of our couches which is putting them by our window in our living room to make it wide and open. we did a movie theme we had popcorn and all different candy they had a card with numbers on it and it was several and each thing was marked off ( and that was just for fun) they just played outside since it was a nice day and played balloons when it was time for the movie to start it the got their treats and watched 101 Dalmatians since that is what  Zack wanted. He invited his classmates and his church class. as well as some of the younger siblings of his classmates. it was simple and laid back the kids had a great time.


Soon after that party was over we had the family party and it was laid back like usual it was who ever could come could come.


Zack and I even went to Carl's Jr for lunch max didn't want to come. Zack wanted a hamburger kids meal as well as chicken stairs since it was his birthday  i let him do that.

Happy valantines day.

In our family we do this a bit different. We make it about the whole family and loving each other. So this year... We made home made pizza--a few different kinds. We did potato leek pizza (from the pioneer woman) and a pepperoni pizza that were shaped like hearts. We watched 101 Dalmatians which came out on DVD again. For dessert we had home made chocolate covered s'mores.

Daddy

My sweet wonderful Dad pass away on Jan 15th. He fought a great 10 months. He is no longer in pain, he gets to see his Parents, Duane and and so many other family members.But, I will miss him greatly. i will never forget all the fun things that we did together Mostly the Daddy Daughter Dance. We love going to those we look forward to those every year. I know that families are forever and that I will see him again. I LOVE YOU DADDY

My parents are the 1st in the family to join the church and they were already married when they joined.

So tonight my nephew Ben got his mission call!
  He has been called to serve in the Alpine German Mission! He will be reporting to the Preston, England MTC on April 9, 2015. I am so proud of his decision to serve! Ben is the 1st of many in the Barnett/Summers ( his dad is a convert too) family line to go out on a full time mission.

 It is so real now that he is going. I know that he is going to be a great missionary.

Vetrens day

Zack had an assembly at his school on Nov 11 of 2014.

It was to honor the veterans. if you had any in your family they were invited to come and honor them. well my grandpa came. he was the only one that was their that fought in WW2.


They went up and said who they were with the student and said what they do or did.He had 4 men that came up to him and thanked him. They were in the veteran in the Vietnam war.  I Thanked each of the men for what they did.

I am so grateful for what all of the veterans do for us to keep us free.

Fall Break day 3

Today we left mid morning to go to a place just outside of OKC to for lunch it is call pops that is  on route 66. . it has LOTS of different flavors of soda and it is a gas station and a little old fashion like diner where the  glass walls are cover with different sodas and yes they are glued on.

 Yummy  food and great drinks it was a great day trip.

 

Fall break Day 1

Today was the 1st day of fall break  after we had a parent teacher conference with Zack Teacher we spent the day by watching TV and movies.

 Its was a great day and I just let the boys stay in their PJ's all day long.

Is it in the family?????

When my nephew Ben was a little boy about 3 he didn't kiss anyone he licked people.

When my nephew Jack was about 3 when he had to go to the bathroom he squatted on the toilet.

Well Max who is 3 now he is into licking me. When he goes to the bathroom to pee he lifts the toilet seat ans balance himself by holding the back if the seat and goes.( he so upped one on Jack at that one.)

So is it they family of blonde little boys?????

Max goes to school

Max has stared the 3 year old program at Saint Stevens weekday school. Just like Zack did. He goes on Thursdays from 9:30 -2:30.

  

  I tried to get a full frontal with him with his school.
He had his Herman and his blue blanket in his back pack.Along he had his lunch. 

 At his new school

 Even in his class room.

But i just couldn't get one.( just like Zack when he started) He was just so happy to go. I do this so they can have a slow transition from being home with mommy all day to going to school. It was kind of hard to let him go but I know it is good for him.

Zack 1s day

to day was Zack's 1st day of kindergarten. He was so happy to go to school. Zack is going to Vandever elementary which where I went to.  Zack was so happy to go to mommy school. What i school the principle who I had is the same one Mrs. Beckwith also she remembers me as well.

 It was so hard to see him go and be gone all day long. Which I am SO against all day Kindergarten.

 Poor Max was so sad that he didn't get to stay with his big brother and best friend.

He was so happy that he got a BIG Mickey Mouse Balloon and a new helicopter when he got home from school.

I hope I will be able to get use to this with Zack being gone all day 5 days a week.

 

Happy 3rd Birthday Max

This year we did a Thomas and friends theme for Max. We had some corn dogs for the younger kids and we had funeral sandwiches ( Yummy)for the adults also we had other food as well. Max open his presents from everyone. While us adults talked the kids played and had fun with each other. Max as well as Zack  also was just a happy little guy to be able to play with some of his cousins.

 When Max was opening his presents he kept going back and forth between Ben  and them Molly on the other side.
